Donald Trump knows no bounds to his obvious corruption and political power players. On Tuesday, Trump decidedly used the power of public office to try and sway further sporting teams from ever protesting racial injustices at the hands of police and those in power.
“People are tired of watching the highly political @NBA. Basketball ratings are WAY down, and they won’t be coming back,” the president wrote on Twitter. “I hope football and baseball are watching and learning because the same thing will be happening to them. Stand tall for our Country and our Flag!!!”
This comes as Trump is scheduled to land in Kenosha in a matter of hours amid a backdrop of severe racial tensions. His presence is expected to further stoke tensions but he as usual wants to use that to cheer his base on.
