In California — defacing a city sanctioned Black Lives Matter mural is in fact worthy of two hate crime charges. Nicole Anderson and David Nelson, two professed supporters of Donald Trump are learning that the apparent hard way.

Earlier this week, a bizarre video surfaced online of Anderson and Nelson painting over a mural in California that had been lawfully allowed by officials. Ironically, Anderson didn’t actually do anything to the mural except for change its colour to black. While the intent appeared to have been to alter the entire mural, the duo instead ironically just redecorated it but it cost them their freedom.
