It is said that the actual housing regulation actually helped neighbourhoods become a little more friendlier to each other — but to Trump it’s just another Obama thing. On Tuesday evening, it emerged that Trump is “studying” the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Rule. A regulation that made it against the law for governments who receive federal housing funds not to address racial disparities related problems.
‘At the request of many great Americans who live in the Suburbs, and others, I am studying the AFFH housing regulation that is having a devastating impact on these once thriving Suburban areas. Corrupt Joe Biden wants to make them MUCH WORSE. Not fair to homeowners, I may END!’ he wrote on Twitter.
The legislation pretty much enforces the fact that fair housing; equal housing, and affordable housing must be present in each neighbourhood. Republicans, however, argue that expanding the rule under Joe Biden would lead to the ruining of “the suburbs” and lead to more fair housing in such areas (a feat that they claim will lead to decreased property values.)
