New York ‘s future could be pretty grim amid reports of soaring death numbers and struggles to find burial sites for them. According to reports, New York City officials are mulling the gruesome idea of burying (“temporarily”) people in an unnamed city park. You read that right.

The announcement came from councilman Mark Levine, who, says that bodies could be dug and buried 10 inches below ground giving time for officials to find another area. The particular park won’t be named to the public in an effort to control hysteria. Levine described the situation at local morgues as an “ongoing 9/11 situation.”
