San Juan, Puerto Rico – Puerto Rican governor Ricardo Rosello has formally resigned. After weeks of historic protests, Rosello, announced that as of 2 August he is stepping down from office. He will reportedly be replaced by Secretary Vazquez.
BuzzFeed News reports that as of Thursday, the House of Representatives had actually acquired enough votes to begin impeachment proceedings against him.
