In probably one of the most bizarre stories we’ve ever seen, uh, a damning profile of North Korean women is out this week. In the story, see here, 62 defectors have come forward to reveal how North Korean women are “often subjected to extreme and or intense cases of rape” at the most senior and highest levels of men.
In fact, it, is widely considered so common — most North Korean women apparently don’t blink twice. Weirdly enough, North Korea actually has laws against rape and sexual assault. However, if the acts are committed by government officials, they often go ignored.
