In what may be one of the very few reasons most actually watch Tyler Perry, Perry, has announced that as of 2019 — Mabel “Madea” Simmons  is headed for her burial casket. According to reports, the move comes as Perry hopes to “draw in more audiences in films and shows that require much more depth and perception”.

Apparently, the reasoning behind cancelling Madea is that “I don’t want to be playing her when I’m her age”  Perry said in an interview on a SiriusXM radio show.  Perry claims that he feels “old” even though he is just roughly 49-years-old.

Madea’s funeral will be broadcast in theaters worldwide for everyone to see in 2019. It is expected to be widely released in theaters.
