In accordance with a court ruling on our newspapers, we, are now abiding by an order that lawfully requires us to make corrections and then disclose them. As follows, for the previous working week, here are the following corrections that were made across our newspaper(s).
- Gina Haspel ‘s alleged involvement in a CIA torture ring
Hours after Propublica published a damning report claiming Haspel participated in the waterboarding of a rumored Al-Qaeda operative, we, followed suit. A correction was then issued because turns out, ProPublica, was wrong due to translation errors among other things. We have since issued an apology to the CIA, and, Haspel for the misreporting on our behalf.
2. Robert Mueller ‘ s investigation
Our reporters initially failed to mention that Robert Mueller was investigating the Trump Organization (mostly out of fear of retribution from Trump supporters online). It is indeed fact that Mueller is indeed investigating the Trump Organization personally and has demanded documents.
3. The Salisbury Poisonings
Our reporters accurately reported on this very incident, and, we had to make a minor correction which included new details about the people involved. We have received not only threats of violence from people believed to be close to Russia, but, also diplomatic requests for comment as to how we got the information. We are not disclosing where the information comes from, but, we have indeed passed it on to Downing Street.
4. Jared Kushner’s security clearances
We had issued a report that noted that Kushner’s clearance was not revoked and or downgraded, when in fact, it was. Multiple reports confirmed that Kushner’s clearance was ultimately downgraded by John Kelly amid growing conflicts of interests with the Russians and foreign powers.
Each week, we, will now comply with the obligation to report our own corrections in accordance with European law.
