PYONGYANG, NORTH KOREA —  US President Donald Trump and  Kim Jong Un are set to come face to face for a historic meeting. According to South Korea who delivered a letter directly from Kim Jong Un,  Un, has agreed to halt his nuclear program following the agreement to hold the meeting.

The news comes after new sanctions were announced  against North Korea — who the U.S claims used a lethal nerve agent to kill.  The sanctions are some of the broadest ever in history.  South Korea is hopeful and provided the confirmation themselves to the United States, in hopes, that a peaceful declaration to the nuclear crisis in the Korean Peninsula would finally come to be.

The White House did not comment on the story.
