The United States Army has apparently lowered their expectations to get recruits into the big game of basic combat training. According to published reports Sunday,  the Army has now issued new directives as to those with former issues with severe drug-abuse and self-harm.
The directives now allow people with such histories to try their shot at enlisting in the U.S Army. The move came after weeks of stalled recruitment numbers across America, mostly, which would probably be accounted for Trump ‘s rise in power across the US months into his Presidency.
The Army apparently needs to recruit 80,000 new members by next year, something, that they’re seriously struggling with. The original report and the Army memo about the new waivers were originally reported by USA Today.Â
