Donald Trump has once again found himself at the center of controversy this week after he appeared to suggest on Truth Social that a particular group of Democrats should be put to death.

In a pair of comments that have sparked widespread backlash, Donald Trump spent his week railing against a group of lawmakers (Dems) who released a video reminding service members that they are obligated to disobey unlawful orders as per the military’s code of conduct and the oath they swore to the American Constitution not an individual.
Those comments “in the old days, if you said a thing like that, that was punishable by death.” These are people who, in my opinion, broke the law. Now what happens to them, I can’t tell you.”
Rep Elissa Slotkin who was in the original video has since released a new video.
“I would hope that people of all backgrounds—Democrat, Republican, independent—would agree that threatening death for people you disagree with is beyond the pale of who we are as Americans,” said Sen. Elissa Slotkin. “I refuse to be intimidated out of defending the country I love.”
