The Lowdown
Parisians are not happy with the news that Chinese fast fashion villain Shein has washed upon French shores. According to reports, the retailer opened its first physical location inside Paris’s BHV on Saturday marking a major step in in its long rumored expansion plans.
The Times reports that the pushback has been so strong that employees of BHV staged protests on Friday.
Shein goes against our beliefs,” one employee told the New York Times. “We have always been a beautiful store with beautiful brands, and we try to promote corporate social responsibility.”
