The Lowdown

Kenyan authorities are investigating today following a devastating plane crash amid the country’s heavy rain and bad weather. Authorities say that a plane carrying 11 crashed over the area of Kwale  early Tuesday. The crash which killed everyone board came as the region is experiencing big stretches of heavy rain. Per authorities the crash occurred in a forest wooded area 25 miles from the Diani airstrip.

In case it couldn’t get sadder it does. Police say that attempts to reach the pilot before the plane took off were actually unsuccessful. Officials had dispatched the appropriate team to find the plane which they located 30 minutes after no-contact. Investigators aren’t entirely sure of the cause of the crash though the heavy rain in the area is understood to have contributed to the crash — investigations remain underway.
