But their story isn’t adding up. Earlier this month Bazaar Daily reported on an undercover sting operation being conducted inside the Penn Station subway station bathroom on 34th St. At the time of the initial report the full extent of the operation wasn’t known — or those who have been entangled in it.
That has since changed.
The Lowdown
In case anyone needed a further reason to avoid the bathroom at Penn Station a new report has revealed highly aggressive tactics by law enforcement inside the station. According to a criminal case uncovered this week, the extent of the undercover operation dates back to July. In particular the case of a man identified only as Isrrael who was allegedly aggressively thrown against a wall, handcuffed, and according to what he told the outlet targeted because of his LGBTQ+ background and feminine-presenting mannerisms.
Police claim without evidence that at the time he “exposed” himself in plain sight. Though those accusations have been denied.
Isrrael per the case is an LGBTQ+ asylum seeker from Ecuador who has legal pending asylum papers in the United States but is now actually facing deportation over simply having used the bathroom.
