Troubling news in Washington today. According to reports, the Trump Administration is planning to shift terrorism prevention funding from Democratic-led states to those instead led by Republicans. The Guardian was first to report the news after discovering a series of government records that confirmed the unfair idea.
The Guardian notes that 12 Dem states are suing to block the change because they argue that the Trump Administration is doing nothing more than being petty because Dems aren’t heeding to his immigration agenda.
Officially the program is called the Homeland Security Grants, created in the aftermath of the devastating 2001 terrorist attacks in that shook New York City by Al-Qaida.
