Alex Jones’s likely last effort for an appeal in the many cases against him has arrived. According to reports, the Supreme Court this week decided not to hear Jones appeal in connection to the $1.4b defamation judgement currently standing against him.
The Lowdown
Infamous conspiracy theorist-peddler Alex Jones is back in the headlines. According to the Guardian, the Supremes have ruled against hearing Jones appeal in case of the massive judgement against him over his lies that he spouted about the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre that occurred at the elementary school of the same name.
Jones had long sought to overturn the career-ending, financially ruinuous judgement against him though that now appears to stand. He had infamously claimed a while back that the Newtown, CT massacre where 20 innocent children and 6 adults were (“crisis actors”) supposedly hired to (“promote stricter gun control.”)
The claims never stood up in court nor the court of public opinion.
In case it couldn’t get worse it does. During the entire case, a New York Times investigation found that Jones had secretly transferred assets worth millions outside of the jurisdiction of creditors.
