New York City Mayor Eric Adams is once again back in the headlines. According to reports, he responded to claims on Wednesday that suggested he may drop out of the mayors race in exchange for a job in Trump ‘s administration.

Another day another headline for New York City ‘s troubled Mayor. According to reports, Adams has been ‘encouraged’ to drop out of the race in favor of Andrew Cuomo the candidate most likely able to take on Zohran Mamdani.
Politico was first to report the news citing people familiar with an offer already made to the embattled Adams. Per that report Adams has been offered a position in the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. On his part the mayor met with Donald Trump ‘s team on Monday during his visit to Florida.
Much of the speculation over his next move comes amid mounting pressure from rival candidates in the mayors race to mount an offensive against Zohran Mamdani.
