Despite recent court orders that have found that such moves may be illegal the Trump Administration is moving ahead with plans to fire some 532 VOA staffers.

Effective Saturday some 500 people are without jobs the Voice of America following cuts. The move comes post previous rulings that attempted to reign in Trump’s attempted gutting of the international news network. In the announcement, Lake claimed that some 100 journalists would be left to ensure news gets to people living under places like communist regimes.
