Dearest friends,
Over the years there have been many claims made about this newspaper some within our control others not. May this article serve as one of the most honest revelations I’ve ever made.
Bazaar Daily Collective isn’t real. The Collective was a name I came up with 24 years ago to shield my projects from my abusive adopted mother. When I created the Bazaar Daily network I was very young therefore I had to shield it from the very people who abused me as a child otherwise I would have lost financial and literal control many years ago.
I hid this from the public because I felt like I owed it to my family to keep this secret. But I must live in my truth now. I single-handedly created Bazaar Daily News decades ago via a school project. The Collective was in name only to make it look like the paper was owned by others until I was old enough to escape the abuse. I’ve had guest contributors over the years but creating this network was solely my idea.
When I was young I was often subjected to extreme mental abuse, emotional abuse, cruel comments, and often told that because I was gay that I would never amount to anything in life and would end up in prison. Boy did I prove them wrong.
I don’t owe it to them any longer. I have been quiet for a very long time. No more.
I am geuinely sorry for keeping this from the public. But finally being able to come clean about the history of this newspaper and how it really began has been life-changing. I’ve been writing for decades now and my story has never fully been told.
xo,
Khane
