Questions mount over NBC Nightly News anchor Tom Llamas’ role in 2001 violent university attack in New Orleans

Shocking allegations are now dogging a popular NBC News personality. According to reports, Nightly News Anchor Tom Llamas is the subject of claims that 25 years ago he partook in a violent break-in at a rival fraternity’s residence.

The Lowdown

A shocking allegation has surfaced against popular NBC Nightly News anchor Tom Llamas. According to reports, the incident  involves a 2001 situation at Loyala University where two fraternities (Llamas’s fraternity and their rival) got into quite the supposed showdown. Reports claim that Llamas was a member of the frat that ransacked and robbed a rival fraternity.   At the time though no charges were ever filed and they were dismissed or reduced outright. 

In the case of Mr. Llamas,  police in New Orleans at the time found that there was  insufficient evidence to prosecute even though the attack in question reportedly left others with injuries. According to the case,  a woman from the opposing frat was pushed to the ground, another person was beaten, and furniture and windows were both trashed and shattered.
