Man wanted in NYC for scamming renters with fake rental listings: Cops

A brazen scheme has been uncovered in the boroughs. According to an NYPD handout,  Nicolas Fuelling, 43, is wanted on a host of charges related to scamming renters with alleged fake rental listings.

The Lowdown

The scam reportedly unraveled back on 12 August after Fuelling was reported to police for allegedly stealing a $6,400 security deposit I’m Hell’s Kitchen from an unsuspecting renter.  He is also wanted in connection with numerous other renter scams in the boroughs all related to phony listings.

Fuelling is 6’2, 195 lbs with black hair and hazel eyes.

Submit tips to police by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), visiting crimestoppers.nypdonline.org, downloading the NYPD Crime Stoppers mobile app, or texting 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577. Spanish-speaking callers are asked to dial 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
