Ismael ‘El Mayo’ Zambada one of Mexico’s biggest former drug lords has come crashing down. According to reports, Zambada pleaded guilty this week to U.S charges in relation to his role in drugs overtaking America.

Big news in the fight against drug smuggling. According to reports, Zambada pleaded guilty on Monday to drug smuggling charges. They stem from his role alongside El Chapo running the Sinaloa cartel of which they grew into the largest drug operation in the world.
“I recognize the great harm illegal drugs have done to the people in the United States and Mexico,” he said through a Spanish-language interpreter according to the case. “I apologize for all of it, and I take responsibility for my actions.”
