New developments in the case of the infamous Jeffrey Epstein cache. According to the Department of Justice, transcripts from Maxwell’s meeting with the DOJ last month have been released.
The Lowdown
A release that feels more like a delay than a revelation. The files still haven’t been released but at least Maxwell’s words are public. According to the agency, the transcripts are from the meeting between Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche and Ghislaine Maxwell. During her two-day meeting, Maxwell alleged to investigators that Trump was a gentleman and never acted wrongly. She also told investigators that as far as she knows Trump never received a massage.
“I never witnessed the president in any inappropriate setting in any way,” Maxwell says in the document. “The president was never inappropriate with anybody in the times that I was with him.”
Prosecutors however are concerned that Maxwell is only serving up information true or not to help serve her case per the New York Times.
