Big developments in the immigration crackdown in the United States. According to the State Department, legal visa holders are now being subjected to further vetting processes in order to keep their status in the country.

“People with indicators of overstays, criminal activity, threats to public safety, engaging in any form of terrorist activity, or providing support to a terrorist organization” will have their permits to live in the US revoked and be deported, the State Department said Thursday.

The department is looking for ‘deportable offenses’ but it remains unclear what that means given the administration’s changing definition of such.
