Suspect identified in CDC shooting in Georgia report says

New developments in the CDC shooting in Georgia that left at least one police officer dead. According to reports, the shooter has been identified as a man from Kennesaw Georgia.

The Lowdown

Police in Atlanta have confirmed this weekend the identity of a man they say opened fire near the CDC and Emory University campus. According to ABC NEWS, the shooter has been identified as Patrick Joseph White, 30, of Kennesaw Georgia.

Police told the outlet over the weekend that White was found dead from what is believed to have been a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The officer who lost his life in the tragic indecent has been identified as Atlanta police officer David Rose who was fatally shot when he responded to the initial reports of gunfire.
