E! News to end after decades on air

Comcast has announced that after more than three decades on air, E! News is coming to an end. The storied news channel first appeared back in the 90s though has had its fair share of controversies over the years plus stiff competition. It will instead pivot to an online setup.

The Lowdown

According to Variety,  U.S cable network Comcast has announced that after three-decades on air E! News is coming to an end next month.   The outlet notes that the final episode is set to be taped on 25 September.   Variety also notes that about 20 jobs will be lost, meanwhile,  E! which is also owned by Comcast will be spun off into a new company called Versant.
