The Lowdown

New developments in Iran as the race to assess the damage caused by American B-2 stealth bombers on the country’s nuclear sites continues.  According to the  IAEA,   two of the three sites (not including Fordo) suffered extensive damage due to the strikes. However a the third site Fordo, which is considered the most critical to Iran ‘s nuclear ambitions, the damage remains unclear. The New York Times reports that nobody including the IAEA can actually assess the damage caused if they’re not in Iran.

Officials in the U.S also disclosed to the Times that the Fordo strike did not actually destroy it despite Trump and his administration implying so on social media.
