Zhenhao Zou, who between 2019 and 2024, drugged and later sexually assaulted at least 60 or more people, is going to prison for life.

The Lowdown

Infamous former London student Zhenhao Zou, 28, who drugged and raped at least 60+ pupils during that time has finally learned his fate. In the end of the terrifying case, Zou was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 24 years in prison for his heinous crimes against others. The shocking crimes happened after he would invite his fellow pupils back to his flat to study. Since his last conviction, at least 20 women have come forward with lurid allegations against Zou, with many more still unidentified, according to several reports.

In case his crimes weren’t bad enough, they got worse over time. According to the case against him, Zou recorded many of the actions against his first 60 victims but in March was convicted of raping three women in London and an additional seven in China. He has, in total, been convicted of at least 28 offences, including multiple counts of voyeurism, as well as possessing extreme pornography and drugs to commit sexual offences.

What happened?

Beginning in 2019, Zhenhao Zou a PhD student in London drugged and raped at least 60 victims over several years. According to the case, many of the women have not been fully identified yet, as women continue to come forward with accusations against the disgraced student. Zou was first arrested in January 2024 after he returned from China to London. At the time, police after searching his flat, reportedly found upwards of 58 videos (all recorded with secret cameras) described as extreme pornography featured drugged women being raped. His home was in the Elephant and Castle area of London. Shockingly, upon his arrest also at the time cops also claimed they found a box that they believed was ‘souvenirs’ from each of the attacks against his victims.

Despite his arrest and conviction, and prison sentence, the Met Police say that the investigation remains ongoing. Since March, numerous other women have come forward with shocking allegations against Zou, and police are still hoping to identify more victims from the cache of videos recovered from his flat.
