Convicted sex trafficer R. Kelly has been hospitalized following an apparent overdose in prison according to several reports out Tuesday.

The Lowdown

According to reports, R Kelly was recently hospitalized following a ‘medical overdose’ while in prison. USA TODAY reports  that Kelly was taken to the hospital after waking up on 13 June feeling faint and ‘dizzy’ and was ‘seeing black spots.’  The incident reportedly occurred after he was sent to solitary confinement on 10 June and given medication by prison staff at the time. 

In a turn of events, lawyers in court docs claim taht while at Duke University hospital in North Carolina Kelly was informed that he had allegedly been given an OD level of medication on 10 June.   The court docs and case update was first reported by USA TODAY.
