In an almost expected fashion, the Trump Administration has announced that deportation orders for non-documented persons on farms and at hotels have been stopped.  The move comes amid government realizations that most Americans would not be running to fill such vacancies.

The Lowdown

According to the New York Times, an about face for Donald Trump.   In an e-mail sent by top ICE officials, the Trump Administration reportedly cancelled deportation orders targeting farms; hotels,  restaurants and related amid confessions from Trump that his directives are harming the agrigcultural and hospitality industries.

The about face comes about a week after protests rocked Los Angeles over an ICE raid on a garment factory in Los Angeles that later sparked involvement from the military and national guard.

“Our great Farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“We must protect our Farmers, but get the CRIMINALS OUT OF THE USA. Changes are coming!” he added in the post.
