Like many outlets and related BBC is seeking to shore up its revenue streams following a year-over-year decline in the value of the license fee. The company has long sought to get a big foothold in America but soon changes may be coming.

BBC executives are eyeing up new changes in the United States to shore up their bottom lines. The move comes as licensing fees for access to BBC have generally fallen throughout the years. The licence fee is £174.50 a year. According to The Guardian, Americans may soon be asked to pony up funds to access the network’s online reporting something that Americans have never had to do before for access to BBC content. The network apparently feels that its impartial coverage could prove valuable in their quest to gain a further foothold in the United States.
