Bulletin: FDA announces shrimp recall due to possible listeria contamination

According to the Food and Drug Administration, a shrimp recall to the tune of nearly 45k pounds has been announced. According to officials, people should not eat Bornstein Seafoods of Bellingham, Washington ‘s Cooked & Peeled, Ready-to-eat coldwater Shrimp.   Officials believe that such is contaminated with listeria monocytogenes a a bactiera known for causing very serious health issues in humans.

Officials say that the products affected were delivered to stores in California, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia up in Canada. Among the affected is  Bornstein Seafoods branded packaging in 1 lb. or 5 lb. plastic bag with lot codes A19008, A19009, P11710, A19009, A19019, A19026, A19030, A19032, A19037, A19039, A18989, A19006, A19007, P11709 and P11710.
