The Lowdown

The situation on the ground in Los Angeles is escalating according to reports over the weekend.  Social media posts confirmed  that Donald Trump authorized the national guard to be deployed to the area to quell protests.  Critics and social media users were quick to point out the glaring hypocrisy Sunday when Trump Administration officials referred the protests as an ‘insurrection.’  Some compared the protests to what the far-right did on J6.

National guardspeople reportely deployed tear gas and other to quell such protests but California seems to be sending a message. The protests are in response to the federal government’s ’30 days of raids’ in Los Angeles mission that the feds claim California knew of ahead of time.

According to footage broadcasted by ABC7,  National Guards members began arriving  in Los Angeles between yesterday and today.   Despite their arrival, protests in support of those both rightly and  wrongfully detained under Trump ‘s immigration crackdown continues.
