Prosecutors announce charges in Liverpool crash

An act that somehow wasn’t an act of terrorism. According to reports, Paul Doyle is staring down the barrel of a host of charges, after he drove a minivan into a crowd of people celebrating the recent soccer championships in the area.

The Lowdown

New developments in the case of the man accused of deliberately driving his minivan into a crowd of people recently. According to the case, the suspect Paul Doyle, is looking at numerous charges according to announcement from prosecutors on Thursday.

Those charges include causing and attempting to cause unlawful and malicious grievious bodily harm with intent, dangerous driving, and unlawful and malicious wounding with intent.

Doyle a former Royal Marine is set to appear in court on Friday. The charges are to be under review during the investigation according to the chief prosecutor.

Police say in total that 79 people were injured in some way in the incident, with at least 50 of those people hospitalized. Fortunately, there were no reported fatalities.
