Tesla is on the defence today amid reports that claim people of the board sought to replace the company’s wildly unpopular CEO Elon Musk.  For their part the company maintains that the WSJ is lying.

The Lowdown

Tesla is firmly denying a juicy WSJ article that claims that the company is seeking to replace the now troubled and widely disliked Elon Musk.    However, according to the board,  such isn’t true and they took to X to debunk the entire report.

“Earlier today, there was a media report erroneously claiming that the Tesla Board had contacted recruitment firms to initiate a CEO search at the company.

“This is absolutely false (and this was communicated to the media before the report was published). The CEO of Tesla is Elon Musk and the Board is highly confident in his ability to continue executing on the exciting growth plan ahead.”
