Against the backdrop of threats from America; Donald Trump, and most of the Republican party  Canada has chosen its new leader: Mark Carney.

The Lowdown

Canadian Prime Minister, leader of the Liberal Party, on Monday won the federal election dominated in part by bizarre threats of annexation by American President and tyrant Donald Trump.  Though he won it isn’t fully clear just yet if his party will win enough seats for a formal majority government.

During his victory speech in Ottawa, Carney reiterated that Canada will never fall to the Americans.

“America wants our land, our resources, our water, our country — never. But these are not — these are not idle threats. President Trump is trying to break us so that America can own us,” he said. “That will never, that will never ever happen.”

It couldn’t get anymore clear that the Canadian ‘s do not want to be Americans per the polls and all.
