Embattled media personality Shannon Sharpe is temporarily stepping back from business at ESPN amid allegations that he raped a young woman.

Commentator Shannon Sharpe is stepping back from his ESPN duties amid scandalous claims that he raped a young woman he was in a relationship with. The then 19-year-old woman sued Sharpe earlier this week for $50m.
The woman maintains she was allegedly raped by Sharpe twice in Vegas last fall and once more in January.
“I will be devoting this time to my family, and responding and dealing with these false and disruptive allegations set against me,” Sharpe said in a statement Thursday.
