Even more controversy at the Pentagon. According to reports, new information is emerging involving the reported classified chats on signal on behalf of Hegseth.
The Lowdown
NBC News is out with yet another report on Hegseth’s use of Signal to discuss classified military information. This time it is said that Hegseth shared classified info about attacks on the Houthi group within minutes of having received said information from a top general.
What happened?
NBC notes that the information in question came from Army Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla, head of Central Command. That information was then shared in two different Signal chats almost immediately. At least one of those chats included Hegseth’s brother, his wife, and his personal lawyer.
Hegseth shared the information directly from a secured military government channel where government information is usually exchanged.
