Satire news sites have struck again. According to reports, online claims that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s brother was ‘arrested’ for trafficking the deadly fentanyl drug are completely made up.

According to Snopes, the rumor that Gabriel Ocasio-Cortez was caught trafficking large quantities of the drug actually originated from one of the internet’s notorious satire news websites. The claim falsely claimed that he was caught with more than $1.2m worth of the drug.
