The tale of one Zhenhao Zou has an update. According to reports, an additional 23 women have come forward to authorities at the Met with accusations involving Zou. Zou, a former PhD student was previously convicted of 10 rapes, however, his true number of victims is believed to be at least 60.
The Lowdown
Mr. Zou was previously convicted of raping three women in London and 7 more in China between 2019 and 2024. Many of those instances were filmed according to the sprawling case against the disgraced former student. Police officials, however, fear that there may be at least 60 victims as women continue to come forward.

Zou, 28, was formally convicted last month after authorities managed to discover that he had not only filmed many of those instances there were dozens of recordings, 58 to be precise. The case is only now getting further attention because when police first arrested the guy, many of his victims were still unknown to police at the time. 22 of the newly identified victims were previously unknown to police entirely, and the last one is understood to have been a woman he had already attacked previous to the 2nd attack.
Many of the new allegations mirror previous methods of attack perpetuated by Zou in the 10 other attacks he was collared for.
As police continue to investigate, the true scale of Zou ‘s offending won’t be clear for some time. The women who have come forward this time all did so within the first month of the Met’s appeal to the public for help in identifying potential victims.
