Big trouble for genetic testing company 23andMe. According to reports, the troubled company has formally filed for Ch 11 bankruptcy protection in the United States.

And it comes just a day after California ‘s Attorney General warned consumers in the state to delete their data out of fear where it may end up. 23andMe has had a difficult last few years with a massive hack wreaking havoc on the company not long ago.
The filing made in Missouri is the latest in a long line of troubles for the company.
