Bazaar Dispatch & Review: We tried Nextiva the ‘all in one’ phone management system here’s why it may not be worth your time

Nextiva is an online ‘all-in-one’ phone communications software that offers customers the ability to call and text their customers, among other services. Bazaar Daily (unannounced to Nextiva) signed up for their free trial this week in an effort to get a reliable phone service up and running for our pet service, Paws Royale.

Here’s how that went.

While promising and at a fair price point ($30/month) Nextiva falls flat in terms of being able to easily navigate the interface and instructions provided by the company. Furthermore, customer service severely lacking and we were disappointed at the lack of communication from those who were attempting to ensure we signed up for this service when we spoke to them on the phone.

Nextiva is also clunky. Certain forms don’t enter correctly; certain things are blacked out and can’t change them (and then have to find your way through phone support), customers are *not* immediately given the ability to text customers through Nextiva. You are required to submit a ton of ‘registrant’ information about your texting profile when you sign up for this service. According to the registration process, this process takes anywhere from 10-30 days and this was not shared with us when we signed up.

It’s also worth mentioning that Nextiva populated information into our profile that wasn’t ours. An address that we have no known association with appeared in parts of the registration process but we weren’t sure where it came from.

Customer support

Initially, a gentleman was assisting us over text message as we signed up for the service only earlier this week. The communications quickly stopped which led us to telephone their general support number which wasn’t much help either. We are now almost a week or so into the trial and have been unable to use the software as intended. Therefore, we cannot in good faith recommend Nextiva to our community.

How to cancel

If you’re looking to cancel Nextiva be prepared for some light footwork. According to the website, you must either call Nextiva customer service at (800) 285-7995 or email service@nextiva.com. It does not appear that you can cancel Nextiva on your own.

It’s worth mentioning that the texting registration process with this company is obnoxiously annoying cumbersome and annoying. If you are looking for a straight forward phone service that’s easy to navigate this is absolutely not it.

Customer Service: **

Interface Accessibility: 0 stars

Overall Support: *

Final comments: Nextiva’s support is obnoxiously bad. If you are looking for a reliable easy to use interface this is absolutely not for you. The interface is very clunky; not self explanatory, and users cannot on their own whim cancel Nextiva. Like with all of our reviews our reviews centre around whether or not we recommend a service or a business.

In the case of Nextiva, we cannot in good faith recommend this phone service to our community. There are other options like Quicktalk and others that are not only cheaper but their interface is much easier to use.
