Despite HHS’s RFK Jr.’s claims of transparency, the agency under his watch is preparing to be anything but. According to the Federal Register, a document has been filed indicating the upcoming change.

The Lowdown

Stat News reports that a big change is coming to the HHS despite claims made by RFK Jr himself. In the time since his nomination as HHS, RFK Jr has repeatedly claimed that under his watch the agency would be essentially ‘more transparent than ever before.’ But if new documents filed are any indication, RFK Jr appears to have lied to the American people.

Stat notes that the change is expected to be formally announced on Monday. The ‘public comment’ period refers to when the American public at large; hospitals and related, all have a chance to discuss the actions made by HHS. The policy of doing so had actually been in place since about 1971.
