Eric Adams is back in court today amid claims he sold out New York City to the highest bidder (in his case the Trump admin.) Adams is back in court aside the DOJ to explain their motives.
The Lowdown
Motives being what really caused the case against Adams to suddenly be dismissed by Trump ‘s Department of Justice. Earlier this month, Trump ‘s DOJ abruptly announced that it would seek the dismissal of what was the growing case against Adams, a case that was also set to see additional charges including obstruction according to Bazaar Daily America.
Today, Adams and prosecutors from the DOJ must now explain their motives behind the dismissal request at the request of a Manhattan judge. The judge has questions though but because the case has essentially never been a thing in New York before (the case and the effort to remove Adams is historic) it is uncertain which way Judge Dale Ho.
Judge Ho in order to actually dismiss the case against Adams must not only agree to the dismissal as a whole and have sufficient evidence to back everything up.
