Tulsi Gabbard despite opposition to her nomination has succeeded in her quest to join the Trump admin. Along party lines Republicans totally fell in line to vote for her.

The Lowdown

Gabbard’s confirmation came after weeks of scrutiny over her alleged ties to Russia; praise of killer ex Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, and bow she thought of Edward Snowden. Gabbard’s ascension now means she is in charge of the U.S’s 18 different intelligence agencies as part of America’s giant intelligence apparatus.

Senate Republicans voted 52 in favor of Gabbard’s nomination.
