Elon Musk ‘s ‘Department of Government Efficiency’ has found its latest target. According to reports, the group is demanding FEMA answers questions over claims that they sent $59m to NYC.

Millions that the group claims was sent to NY last week to house undocumented migrants during the migrant crisis. According to one report, Musk claims that it was one expensive feat to house people because NYC opted for luxury hotels to the tune of nearly $59m.
What happened?
As many may recall a while back NYC was hit pretty bad by the migrant crisis and later had to find the funds to support the many people who came from the southern border.   NYC has spent billions on the migrant crisis with the cost expected to continue to grow over the next several years.
Mayor Eric Adams has faced intense scrutiny over the situation as many have claimed he has continued to enable the crisis.
The FEMA agency now falls under the purview of Department of Homeland Security head Kristi Noem. Some reports suggest that she will at some point push Trump to abolish the agency all together. The agency in recent months has faced scrutiny amid claims of targeting people based on their political affiliation which it has denied.
