Amid the ongoing egg shortage and bird flu outbreak in the United States patrons at Trader Joe ‘s are in for a rude surprise. According to KOIN, the chain has announced that customers are now limited to the number of dozens they can buy at once.

In a statement to KOIN, Trader Joe ‘s confirmed that the limit is due to the ongoing bird flu outbreak which has spread among birds and chickens (but not to humans.) Customers will now be limited to just a single dozen eggs during their trips to the grocery store.
