Reuters reports that the parents of jailed crypto fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried are making a play for a pardon from Trump. The news of course comes after Trump pardoned Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht.
It is unclear to what extent they may have gotten to in the process. Reuters notes that the couple has already spoken to members of Trump’s orbit but not the administration.
SBF is the founder of the now defunct crypto exchange FTX which was involved in one of the largest known crypto fraud schemes ever recorded.
