‘The View’co-host Sunny Hostin (who is not accused of any wrong doing) is going to bat for her husband Dr. Emmanuel Hostin who is accused of a sprawling case of insurance fraud.
The Lowdown
According to Page Six, Hostin is accused of billing for surgeries that essentially didn’t need to happen. The outlet first revealed the case after it obtained a series of lawsuit documents dated 17 December 2024. In the documents, Hostin is one of 200 named defendants accused of “knowingly providing fraudulent medical and other healthcare services including arthroscopic surgeries.”
Accusations of fraud were filed by American Transit Insurance Company against both Hostin and his medical practice. Hostin has lawyered up per the outlet and maintains that the allegations are without merit.
The case is the largest RICO case ever filed in the state of New York.
