Man charged with attempted murder after group struck with car on Christmas Day

Troubling news in London today as news of a major crash has gone public. According to police, a man has been charged with four counts of attempted murder after apparently driving on the wrong side of the road on Christmas Day.

The Lowdown

According to police, the incident occurred on Shaftesbury Avenue in the capital’s theatre district in the early hours of Christmas Day. The man identified as Anthony Gilheaney, 30, appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday and was held in custody. At least one of the victims remains in critical condition.
